An upright, subshrub, semi evergreen with red stems and bright green leaves, topped with two-lipped flowers that are either a white, pale lilac, or a pale pink, with throats that are yellow-marked and purple spotted. Blooms from late Spring to mid- Summer and grows best in full sun with chalky, loamy, sandy soil. Jovellana punctata has average water needs, so make sure to water regularly but it’s important to not overwater. Flowers attract pollinators to your garden while being resistant to deer. They are native to Chile and do well in beds and borders in the garden. Grows 24 – 26 inches tall. Photo courtesy of Chiltern Seeds.
