This cultivar was named in honor of the late Ms. Cheryl Jeanne Gunning, who worked in the National Germplasm Repository in Corvallis, Oregon from 1981 to 1985. Jeanne is a remarkable thornless variety known for its deep red, sweet/tart berries and high disease resistance, making it a favorite among home gardeners. Developed for superior productivity and flavor, Jeanne produces medium to large berries that are perfect for fresh eating, baking, and preserves.
