Pac Choi ‘Bopak’

Description

In the history of All America Selections, Bopak F1 is the first Pac Choi to become an AAS Winner. Bopak matures about 5 days earlier than other varieties when harvested as a baby Pac Choi but it can be grown to a full-size head as well.  The tender leaves and crisp sweet stalks are a tasty addition to Asian recipes or eaten raw. Swap stalks for celery sticks, add to soups and stews, or grill on the barbecue. The compact, upright, dense plant habit allows for close garden spacing and makes an attractive “thriller” for patio pots and containers. Full sun to partial sun. 60 days to harvest.

Care: Plant 9-12″ apart in rows 18-24″ apart in full sun. Keep well watered for best flavor.

Continuous Harvest variety

Cold-tolerant plants that stand in the field for harvest as needed in late fall and early winter. May overwinter in mild seasons, or die back and sprout from the root in spring for an extra-early crop. See our Fall & Winter Vegetable Guide for specific planting/harvest times & freeze-out temperatures.
