Pea ‘Petite Snap Green’ Tendril Garnish

Description

This pea is grown more for its leafy tendrils and its edible shoots and blossoms; the plant does produce snap peas but they arrive late in the season and aren’t very prolific. Tendrils are best harvested within a few days after they form, when they’re still tender. To obtain more than one crop, snip above the first nodule when harvesting. Use the tendrils (or the entire plant!) in salads and other dishes that can benefit from lightly-cooked greens.
Care: Plant 3-6″ apart in rows 18-24″ apart in full sun and moist cool soil. Vines grow 24-30″ tall; provide support.
