Lemon Balm ‘Mandarina’ (Melissa officinalis)

Description

Mandarina has a modern twist: its tang is more orangey than lemon. Grows with a trailing habit, so it makes a beautiful “spiller” in hanging baskets and raised garden beds. It can even be used as a ground cover, and used to cover slopes and other difficult areas. Small white flowers appear in summer that are very attractive to bees. Imagine lovely lemon balm sparked with a warm, orange scent. Its delicious herbal tea lures and lulls you to sleep. Easy to grow, healthful perennial herb is hardy from USDA zones 4a to 9b.
