Description

Hatch chilies refer to the five or six main cultivated varieties of New Mexico chiles. They come from a long line developed by New Mexico State University. This is the hottest Hatch chile and when it hits your tongue pain signals rush to your brain, causing a mild euphoria, so you feel better and want more green chile!  Pods are small at 5” long and are screaming hot. Plants grow to 30“ tall. A good addition to any garden. 80 days. Photo courtesy of Sandia Seed Company.
Care: Plant 18-24″ apart in rows 24-30″ apart in full sun. Keep soil uniformly moist (but not waterlogged) for best production.
