Pomegranate ‘Sirenevyi’ (Punica granatum)

Description

Gorgeous flowers followed by delicious fruit! Pomegranate seeds are high in heart-healthy fiber and vitamins C & K. The seeds and juice are full of anti-oxidants and are reputed to have anti-inflammatory properties as well. Sirenevyi produces beautiful speckled fruit that ranges from pink to red to tan with dark red almost purple arils. It has very soft seeds and a sweet, almost spicy flavored juice. Sirenevyi is shockingly cold hardy; fruit ripens mid/late season. Likes full- to half-day sun and well drained soil. Can reach up to 10-12 ft. in height and bears fruit 1-2 years after planting.
