This unusually colorful butternut is pretty enough to show off in autumn displays but still boasts a rich, sweet flavor for eating. Green and orange speckled bands adorn the outside of the large fruit. Inside the flesh is deep orange, thick and tasty. Plants produce long vines and show strong powdery mildew resistance in our field trials. Each 12 foot long vine delivers good yields of uniform, 10 inch fruit. 85-90 days.
Care: Plant 4-5′ apart in rows 6-8′ apart in full sun. Leave on the vine as long as possible, until rinds have hardened. Bring in after the first light frost, before rains.
