Thyme ‘Golden Lemon Variegated’ (Thymus x citriodorus)

Description

Glossy green & gold variegated leaves have a robust lemon scent and flavor that combines nicely with citrus fruits. Try garnishing a grapefruit-based cocktail with a few sprigs! Grows 6-12″ tall. Perennial.

Old Tom Gin Garden:

With its blend of juniper, coriander, orange peel and other spices, gin is the ultimate botanical spirit. Gin’s floral, citrus and spice notes compliment almost everything that grows in the garden.

Try a cucumber-infused gin and tonic, a basil martini, an elderflower liqueur, or a thyme-infused blend of sweetness and spice. Borage blossoms are a classic garnish for the gin-based Pimm’s Cup.

Grapefruit-Thyme Cooler: Combine 1.5 ounces gin, 1.5 ounces fresh grapefruit juice, the juice of ¼ lime, ½ ounce thyme simple syrup. Shake over ice, strain into a glass filled with ice, top with club soda.
