There’s something new and different in the 20-lb. class. It’s called Mellow Yellow (quite rightly!). Uniform in shape and size, Mellow Yellow is blocky-round, avg. 18-22 lb. with a strong green handle. Excellent powdery mildew resistance and solid field performance. Care: Plant 5-6′ apart in rows 6-8′ apart in full sun. Space more widely and remove all but one fruit from each vine for the largest pumpkins. Leave on the vine as long as possible, until rinds have hardened. Bring in after the first light frost, before rains.
