Philadelphus hybrid ‘Pearls of Perfume’ (Mock Orange)

Description

Philadelphus Pearls of Perfume is a flowering deciduous shrub offering 3 seasons of interest, blooming in late spring and reblooming reliably into midsummer. Borne along erect branches dense with medium green foliage, abundant clusters of large, pure white, fully double flowers perfume the air with an intense citrusy orange-blossom scent, attracting bees and butterflies. The long-lasting, sterile, sweet-scented flowers are a great addition to floral arrangements. Grows to a mature size of 3 to 4 feet tall and 2 feet wide. Although it makes an excellent specimen in a container garden, it is shown to best effect when massed or grouped in mixed beds, borders, or foundation plantings. Full sun. Zones 5-9.
