Kapuri Tulsi Camphor Basil (Ocimum killmandscharicum guerke)

Description

Native to East Africa. Tender perennial. (aka Kapoor Tulsi)

Spikes of white-to-lavender flowers appear in midsummer. Attracts bees.

Aromatic foliage repels mosquitoes in the garden and in the house!

Roll into smudge sticks and burn to keep mosquitoes away. Dried foliage is mixed with bath salts for healing soaks, or used in sachets to repel moths and beetles. Traditional source of camphor. Read more about them here!

Grows to 4-6′ tall and likes full sun and well drained soil. Overwinter indoors on a sunny windowsill.
