Kale ‘Frisé Rouge’

Description

Dark, somewhat glossy leaves with dark purple stems and veins. 2–3′ tall plants are more uniform than Scarlet. Relatively large leaf size and long petioles. OP. 55 days. Photo courtesy of Johnny’s.

Care: Plant 20-30″ apart in rows 24-36″ apart in full sun, cool moist soil.

 

Continuous Harvest variety

Cold-tolerant plants that stand in the field for harvest as needed in late fall and early winter. May overwinter in mild seasons, or die back and sprout from the root in spring for an extra-early crop.
