Iris sibirica ‘Purring Tiger’

Description

With broad, golden yellow signals animated by stripes of deep purple veining, Iris sibirica ‘Purring Tiger’ is aptly named after that stunning feline. Red-violet style arms and lavender-violet standards form a dramatically contrasting cluster above the predominantly yellow falls brushed with soft purple. The flowers hold their color well atop strong, relatively short stems. Recipient of the American Iris Society’s Honorable Mention. Grows to 20″ tall. Full sun to part shade.
