Dryopteris affinis ‘Cristata the King’ Crested King Fern (hardy)

Description

A wonderful, easy-to-grow fern. Newly unfolding fronds have a beautiful lemon-yellow color, aging to deep green. Striking in shaded or woodland gardens, formal or informal. Attractive with hostas, epimedium and wild ginger. Good filler for bouquets. Thrives in full to partial shade, and in well-drained organic soil, where it spreads slowly by creeping rhizomes.
