Blackberry ‘Olallie’ (Rubus hybrid)

Description

A trailing blackberry with medium-sized, lumpy black fruit that’s excellent eaten fresh or for homemade pies and jams. Developed at the University of Oregon as a cross between Loganberry and Youngberry. Sweet fruit retains its wild blackberry flavor. You won’t find this one at the fruit stand! Robust and steadfast producer. Ripens in July. Use a trellis or other support. Fruits on second year canes (floricanes). Grows 4-6’ tall. Zones 6-9. Photo courtesy of One Green World.
