Raspberry ‘Willamette’ (Rubus idaeus var. strigosus)

Description

Very popular with home gardeners, this June-bearing variety produces abundant crops of extremely large, dark red berries. Firm and juicy, with a hint of tartness, they are delicious when eaten fresh and are great for freezing. Raspberries are biennials that perform best in full sun with plenty of water and a good fertilizing when blooms begin. For best results, cut down all fruited canes to ground level at the end of the season. Hardy to Zones 4-9. Photo courtesy of Gurney’s.
