Cauliflower ‘Flame Star’ F1

Description

Pastel orange cauliflower with improved heat tolerance. Medium-large plant. A paler orange than Cheddar, but exhibits better tolerance to heat and stress. 62 days. Cauliflower prefers a well-drained, fertile soil high in organic matter, a pH of 6.0–7.5 with consistent moisture throughout the growing season. Irrigate regularly for best results. Cauliflower does not do well in hot weather; the best success is with spring and fall crops. Photo and text courtesy of Johnny’s Seed.

Care: Plant 20-30″ apart in rows 24-36″ apart in full sun, cool moist soil.

Fall Harvest variety

Late-season vegetables adapted to tolerate both the heat of late summer and the cool nights of fall. Harvest in late summer or fall. See our Fall & Winter Vegetable Guide for specific planting/harvest times & freeze-out temperatures.
