Squash (Winter) ‘Red October’ Hubbard-type

Description

Fantastic bright red-orange color in a unique hybrid hubbard that is a perfectly uniform 5-6 lb. Red October is a must have item for ornamental displays but it also makes a very high quality winter squash, with its sweet, fine grained flesh. 95-105 days.

Care: Plant 4-5′ apart in rows 6-8′ apart in full sun. Leave on the vine as long as possible, until rinds have hardened. Bring in after the first light frost, before rains.
