Typical of most Anaheim peppers, Spitfire doesn’t make you cry Uncle; its Scoville rating is a very approachable 90-130: hot enough to impart flavor but not so hot your eyes are watering. It does have mouthwatering taste, however! Perfect for roasting, stuffing, or making chile rellenos. 65 days green; 85 red ripe. Photo courtesy of Seminis.
Care: Plant 18-24″ apart in rows 24-30″ apart in full sun. Keep soil uniformly moist (but not waterlogged) for best production.
