Large, highly adaptable poblano. This widely adapted pepper performs particularly well under challenging conditions. The fruits are very large, averaging 5″ x 3″, and are typically 2-lobed, which makes them easy to stuff and cook in their signature dish, chile rellenos. They also may be dried and ground into medium-hot powder or flakes. 65 days to green, 85 to red. Photo courtesy of Johnny’s Seeds.
Care: Plant 18-24″ apart in rows 24-30″ apart in full sun. Keep soil uniformly moist (but not waterlogged) for best production.
