The ubiquitous Northwest onion, Walla Walla is very large and mild. The greens of this onion are also widely used. Not meant for long storage, Walla Walla is best when planted in the late summer and harvested the following year. Like all onions, Walla Walla prefers well-drained soil and full sun.
Care: Plant in 4″ wide bands, in rows 12″ apart with full sun and well-drained soil.
