Creeping Wire Vine tolerates heavy foot traffic and is good for stone paths and other areas where a very low growing ground cover is desired. Muehlenbeckia axillaris ‘Nana‘ has tiny, glossy, dark green leaves on wiry, bronzy copper colored stems. Inconspicuous green to ivory blooms are followed by transparent white fruits with black seeds – very attractive. Sun to shade, quick growing and drought tolerant. Adapts to rocky ground and garden soils; excellent for rock gardens and as a potted plant. Photo courtesy of Oregon State University.
