New Salanova variety this season. Tasty, versatile Batavia leaf type. Compact, open habit with strong tipburn and bolt tolerances. Produces an impressive count of crunchy, juicy leaves that are uniform in size. Thin petioles and open habit allow leaves to separate very easily from the core. Strong structure maintains shape as a whole head, but works equally well for cut salad. 35-45 days. Photo courtesy of Johnny’s Seeds.
Care: Plant 12-16″ apart in rows 16-18″ apart in a mostly sunny area.
