Chicarita is an innovative baby crunchy Romaine variety which is gaining popularity as a snacking lettuce. This means the leaves are an ideal size for tapas style finger food and characteristically crisp and crunchy with an iceberg bite. Chicarita is slow bolting, strong against tip burn and suitable for harvesting all year round. Photos courtesy of Rijk Zwaan.
