The genus name Lampranthus means shining-flowers in Greek, From early summer to early autumn the plant is covered with daisy-like flowers in varying shades of baby pink, and frequently cover the plants entirely. It has an attractive, neat shape and masses of small grey-green, succulent, finger-like leaves. Bees and other important pollinating insects are attracted to these bright, pollen-rich flowers. Will grow in sun or shade but blooms best in full sun.
