Lush green, oval leaves are covered in striking silvery veins. Growing in a mounding clump, Fittonia are a genus of tropical plants native to Peru and other parts of the South American rainforest. The name comes from the botanists Elizabeth and Sarah May Fitton, who discovered it in the 19th Century. Inconspicuous, yellow to off white blooms bloom above the foliage, although this is rare when grown indoors. Grows to 6″ tall with an 18″ spread. Photo courtesy of Little Prince.
