Cauliflower Stick Type ‘Murasaki Fioretto 70’ F1 (AAS)

Description

Murasaki, which means purple in Japanese, is a new addition to the Fioretto long-stemmed cauliflower series (fiore is the Italian word for flower). A culinary and visual delight, its vibrant purple florets and long, tender stems offer a sweet, mild flavor and are easy to harvest. This heat-tolerant variety maintains its striking color through various cooking methods, transforming to fuchsia hues when mixed with vinegar and to a rich golden brown when sautéed or roasted. Enjoy it raw as a colorful crudité. Murasaki’s compact habit, early maturity, and excellent field holding make it a rewarding choice for home gardeners. Photo courtesy of All America Selections (AAS).

Care: Plant 20-30″ apart in rows 24-36″ apart in full sun, cool moist soil.

Fall Harvest variety

Late-season vegetables adapted to tolerate both the heat of late summer and the cool nights of fall. Harvest in late summer or fall. See our Fall & Winter Vegetable Guide for specific planting/harvest times & freeze-out temperatures.
