Hydrangea quercifolia ‘Snowflake’ (oakleaf hydrangea)

Description

This large hydrangea creates a dramatic presence in the garden with large, arching, conical flower heads, up to 12 inches across, packed with double blossoms layered on top of one another. Foliage turns from bright green to autumnal red after the flowers fade, making Snowflake a true year-round plant. Prefers sun to semi-shade in fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Grows 4-6 feet tall. Hardy to Zone 5. Photo from Spring Hill.
