It got its name from the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/File:Maglia_rosa.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mottled pink jersey\u00a0<\/a>worn by the lead racer in the Tour of Italy.
