Dense compact growth habit. Eye-catching new deep red growth. Extremely floriferous, providing racemes of white, urn shaped flowers that bloom in the spring followed by medium to large glossy purple\/black berries in the summer. Can grow in sun or shade and likes moist, well-drained soil. Hardy to Zones 7-9. Self-fertile. Grows 3-4 feet in sun to partial shade.
