An inhabitant of\u00a0wetlands,\u00a0riparian\u00a0areas and wet\u00a0meadows,\u00a0this sedge does very well in water or rain gardens or around ponds and streams where its dense\u00a0rhizomes provide excellent erosion control and bank stabilization.\u00a0It prefers full to partial sun and is fast-growing.
