A beautiful, ruffled green kale with purple stems that looks and cooks like an oleraceae <\/i>curly kale but has all the grower benefits of a napus <\/i>kale. Bred by Megan Allen at Care of the Earth Community Farm from a selection of \u201cGulag Stars,\u201d a mix of napus <\/i>kales that have been crossed with B.rapa<\/i> that were selected and released by Adaptive Seeds. Mira Red-Stem is very uniform and makes beautiful bunches.\u00a0 For harvesting all winter, row cover is recommended. Flavor is similar to \u201cMeadowlark\u201d (an oleraceae <\/i>kale).
