The showy, edible pink flowers make a nice garnish. Also muddle with gin or vodka to dress up a basic martini. Plant 12-18&#8243; apart in sun to light shade and moist, well-drained soil. Good in beds or containers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mixologists&#8217; Simple Syrups:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To make a simple syrup, heat equal parts sugar and water until the sugar melts. Allow to cool, then steep Attar of Roses in the mixture for 30-60 minutes. Strain and store in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 weeks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Herbal Liqueur:<\/strong> Combine fresh herbs in jar with vodka for 1-4 days. Strain and add spices and dried citrus peel; soak for 2-3 weeks, tasting regularly.
