Hoya Australis

Description

Hoya australis has broad, ovate, shiny leaves which emerge along wild, winding tendrils. A vigorous grower, this Australia-native is very easy to grow and happy as a hanging plant or winding up a trellis. Like all Hoyas, the australis has waxy leaves and produces clusters of star-shaped flowers. But unlike all some Hoya, the flowers of Hoya australis – creamy white with burgundy centers – are quite fragrant! A new favorite in the genus. Photo courtesy of Pistils Nursery.
