Pumpkin ‘Casperita’

Description

A perfect companion to Lil Pump-Ke-Mon, Casperita is an attractive, deeply ridged ornamental that’s also edible! Flesh and flavor are reminiscent of acorn winter squash. Fantastic yield, very early setting and easy to harvest from a big, semi-bush habit. Tolerant to PM race 2 and to WMV. 80 days. Photo courtesy of Osborne Seed.

Care: Plant 5-6′ apart in rows 6-8′ apart in full sun. Space more widely and remove all but one fruit from each vine for the largest pumpkins. Leave on the vine as long as possible, until rinds have hardened. Bring in after the first light frost, before rains.
