Curly dark green leaves are heavily veined in bright red, for an overall violet-blue look that intensifies in cold weather. Frost-hardy. 30 days from transplant for baby greens, 60 for full size.
Care: Plant 20-30″ apart in rows 24-36″ apart in full sun, cool moist soil.
Cold-tolerant plants that stand in the field for harvest as needed in late fall and early winter. May overwinter in mild seasons, or die back and sprout from the root in spring for an extra-early crop.
