Beautiful blue-grey jagged leaves have a lovely mild cabbage flavor with a crunchy texture. It is perfect for winter salads, cut as a baby leaf or grown on for cooking. As with most Italian ingredients, it can be used in a wide range of dishes such as risotto, pasta and fritattas.
Care: Plant 20-30″ apart in rows 24-36″ apart in full sun, cool moist soil.
Cold-tolerant plants that stand in the field for harvest as needed in late fall and early winter. May overwinter in mild seasons, or die back and sprout from the root in spring for an extra-early crop.
