Pepper (Hot) ‘Carolina Reaper’ Grafted Mighty Veggie

Description

Grafting is a traditional technique that dramatically improves vigor and yield. Read more on our grafting page.

Move over, Trinidad Scorpion, there’s a new sheriff in town. Carolina Reaper has ascended to the top of the Scoville Heat Unit scale for hottest peppers in the world. Bred in a Rock Hill, South Carolina greenhouse by “Smokin” Ed Currie, proprietor of the PuckerButt Pepper Company in Fort Mill, the Carolina Reaper has been certified as the world’s hottest chili pepper by Guinness World Records since August 7, 2013.  The original cross was between a Ghost pepper (a former world record holder) and a red habanero and is named ‘Reaper’ due to the shape of its tail. For those who love hot peppers, Carolina Reaper is a must– for those less adventurous, they make a great conversation piece in the garden.
Care: Plant 12-18″ apart in rows 24-30″ apart in full sun. Keep soil uniformly moist (but not waterlogged) for best production.
