Mid-season. A 5-star garlic known for its uniformity, size and flavor. Very large heads are covered in thin, white wrappers that are streaked with purple. Individual cloves are covered in blushed-tan skins with plum stripes. Flavor starts out mild and finishes with a fervor of spice! A purple stripe variety from Vietnam.
Care: Plant 6-8″ apart, 1-2″ deep. Harvest when all but 3-4 leaves turn dry and brown (usually July). Hang to dry in cool, shady, ventilated area for 2 weeks, then store in a cool dark location.
