Broccoli ‘Piracicaba’

Description

About halfway between a heading broccoli and a broccoli raab, these succulent tender small green heads with very large beads make delightful raw eating. People say it’s the best broccoli they’ve ever had! Very loose heads, lots of side shoots, sweet stalks. Even the fairly large leaves make excellent greens. Once the central head is harvested, the side shoots start to appear. Its spear shape and tender stem means it can be used whole, or quickly and cleanly chopped without waste. OP. 56 days. Care: Plant 20-30″ apart in rows 24-36″ apart in full sun, cool moist soil.
